1. Who We Are

1. 1.1This Website, www.hybridrubbermoreleta.co.za (“the Website”), is owned and operated by Hybrid Liquid Rubber SA – Moreleta Park (“HLR Moreleta Park”, “we”, “us” or “our”), trading from 870 Rubenstein Drive, Moreleta Park, Pretoria, 0044, South Africa.
2. 1.2HLR Moreleta Park is an independently owned and operated franchise of Hybrid Liquid Rubber SA. We operate both as a retail store, selling Hybrid Liquid Rubber products directly to the public, and as an applicator carrying out waterproofing, damp proofing, roofing, painting and related work.
3. 1.3This Policy applies only to Personal Information collected by HLR Moreleta Park. The franchisor and other Hybrid Liquid Rubber SA branches are separate businesses that maintain their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for how they process your information.

2. How We Handle Your Personal Information

1. 2.1For the purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” has the meaning given in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”). We process Personal Information in accordance with POPIA and, where applicable to a visitor based outside South Africa, the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). We take reasonable steps to ensure the quality, accuracy and confidentiality of the Personal Information in our possession.
2. 2.2We only collect the Personal Information reasonably necessary to supply you with products, provide you with a quotation, and carry out waterproofing, damp proofing, roofing, painting or related services. We take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to, or disclosure of, your Personal Information, although no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.
3. 2.3When you request a quote, place a product order, contact us, or engage us for a service, we may ask for the following Personal Information:
4. 2.3.1First name and surname;
5. 2.3.2Email address;
6. 2.3.3Property or physical address (needed to inspect and quote the job);
7. 2.3.4Phone number and/or WhatsApp number;
8. 2.3.5Details of the service required (e.g. leak location, roof type, photographs of the affected area);
9. 2.3.6Details of any products ordered, including quantities, colour selections and a collection or proof-of-payment reference; and
10. 2.3.7For commercial clients: company or business name and the name of the person we are liaising with.
11. 2.4We do not ask for, and you should not send us, banking details, ID numbers, or special categories of information such as race, religion, or health information through our Website, contact forms or WhatsApp. The Website does not process online payments. Where a formal invoice or EFT payment is arranged for a confirmed order or job, banking details are exchanged securely and directly between you and HLR Moreleta Park, not collected via the Website.
12. 2.5By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you consent to HLR Moreleta Park using your Personal Information to:
13. 2.5.1Prepare and follow up on quotations and product orders, and supply our products and services to you;
14. 2.5.2Contact you about the status of an order, collection, booking, inspection, or job;
15. 2.5.3Send you relevant updates, seasonal reminders (for example, before Gauteng's rainy season), or promotional content, where you have not opted out;
16. 2.5.4Respond to queries, reviews, or requests you submit; and
17. 2.5.5Keep basic administrative, accounting and legal records of products supplied and work performed.
18. 2.6We have reasonable technical and organisational security measures in place to protect your Personal Information against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access, and we will continue to review and improve these measures over time.
19. 2.7We keep your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to supply our products and services, honour any workmanship guarantee or product warranty period, and meet our accounting and legal record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted or archived.
20. 2.8Your Personal Information is only accessed by HLR Moreleta Park staff and subcontractors directly involved in supplying your order, quoting, or carrying out your job, on a need-to-know basis.
21. 2.9HLR Moreleta Park does not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18 years of age without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
22. 2.10We will never sell, share, or rent your Personal Information to third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we will not use your email or number for unsolicited communication unrelated to our products and services.

3. Your Rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

1. 3.1.1Request access to the Personal Information we hold about you, by emailing moreleta@hybridliquidrubbersa.co.za;
2. 3.1.2Request correction of any Personal Information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
3. 3.1.3Request deletion of your Personal Information once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, or if you withdraw consent and there is no other lawful reason to retain it;
4. 3.1.4Request that we restrict processing of your Personal Information to only what is strictly necessary to complete an order or job already in progress;
5. 3.1.5Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe we have breached this Policy;
6. 3.1.6Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent; and
7. 3.1.7Object to your Personal Information being used for direct marketing at any time, free of charge.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

1. 4.1We may share your Personal Information, strictly for the purpose of completing your order, quote or job, with:
2. 4.1.1Subcontractors or tradespeople engaged to carry out part of the work;
3. 4.1.2Hybrid Liquid Rubber SA, as franchisor and product supplier, or another supplier, where a product warranty registration or technical support query requires your details; and
4. 4.1.3Our accounting or invoicing service provider.
5. 4.2We do not disclose your Personal Information to any other third party without your consent, unless required by law.

5. Website Usage Data

1. 5.1When you visit our Website, we may automatically collect general technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and length of your visit. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally, and is used only to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it.

1. 6.1Our Website may use cookies — small pieces of information stored by your browser. We use:
2. 6.1.1“Session cookies”, which only last for the duration of your visit and help the site function correctly. These do not identify you personally.

1. 7.1Our Website may link to third-party sites, including our Facebook and LinkedIn pages, the Hybrid Liquid Rubber SA national website, or to WhatsApp. If you follow such a link, you become subject to that third party's own terms and privacy practices, which are outside our control and for which we accept no responsibility.

1. 8.1In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECT Act”), a data message sent to us is deemed received when we acknowledge it, and a data message we send to you is deemed received in accordance with section 23(b) of the ECT Act.
2. 8.2You warrant that any message sent to us from your phone, email, or WhatsApp was sent, or authorised, by you personally.
